The children of today could certainly make a difference for the world of tomorrow; children are so special to God and man. However, we often fail to recognize the potential deposited in little children and therefore miss out a world of opportunities to help and lead them to the true value of life.

Jean and I have always carried a passion for kids; supporting and caring for hundreds of beautiful children victimized by terrorism, who spend all of their childhood in refugee camps in the north and east of Sri Lanka. Our hearts weep for these kids who live far below human standards, often crying out for a morsel of food.

Subsequent to the Tsunami in 2004, both Jean and I felt we should provide parental care to at least a few children who were displaced by the ‘killer wave’. It was at this point that the vision to build an orphanage was birthed, and we felt inspired to share the vision with friends and partners, to which many responded positively and sacrificially.

The beautiful IAT Harvest Children’s Home that stands today is the result of godly faith coupled with unstinted hard work; indeed a splendid monument of God’s provision and the generosity of peace loving people from all walks of life.

This is a home for 100 kids who will receive plenty of love, care and disciplined upbringing. They will be educated, equipped and released to live respectable lives with self-esteem and dignity. Above all, it is our sincere desire to see every child grow to be a god-fearing citizen to be an inspiration to Sri Lanka and nations beyond.

To God be the glory, praise and honor.

The facility is well equipped and functional. However, we are unable to take more children due to the lack of funds.

Our vision is to have 100 children and a residential staff of eight. There are a string of children on the waiting list and we are desperately looking for people to join the sponsorship scheme.

The cost per child is £75 (GBP) per month. This amount will provide the child;

* Food & Accommodation
* Medical care
* Recreation and entertainment
* Education
* Clothing, toiletries and linen
* The amount is inclusive of administration and overhead costs such as transport, electricity, facility maintenance and security.
